CHRISTIAN SNOWSPORTS MINISTRY
Christian Snowsports Ministry was started in 2005 by Carrie and Larry Calvin, member ski instructors of the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and long-time Christians with help from Jeff Blood from Boarders For Christ, a non-profit organization dedicated to reaching youth through skateboarding, surfing and snowboarding. All of us have worked together teaching skiing and snowboarding for area ski schools at Stevens Pass, Washington. The purpose of our partnership is to support and encourage snowsports ministry, whether it is through skiing or snowboarding. Currently our opportunities to serve Christ have been concentrated in France, where we have developed relationships with some missionaries there who want to continue to have us bring groups of Americans to France so we can share our faith with the French youth.
Christian Snowsports Ministry is a non-profit organization dedicated to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through skiing and snowboarding activities. Our faith in Christ is best summed up by this Bible verse:
"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile, the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.""
